Why should I take this course?
"Doktors Idee" is Part 1 of the Jumpstart with Cognates Curriculum.
It uses words you recognize already to teach you basic sentence structures, colors, numbers, body parts and more...

Learning a language often starts with the basics, like "to be", "to have", numbers, colors and introducing yourself. This course teaches you this, but goes well beyond that.
With the help of a simple, short story, you constantly link old and new knowledge. You repeat previous topics and are free to divert and adapt the storyline to your needs. You concentrate on the content instead of worrying about the linguistic form.

What will I learn in this course?
A natural language aquisition means that I have no ideawhat you'll pick up from the input. But my input and the assignments are, of course, tailored in such a way that there are specific topics that you should have mastered by the end of the course.

I can count and use the numbers 1-10 and a few others.
Meeting people
I can introduce myself and others with name, age and hobbies.
Bodyparts
I can name bodyparts in singular, pluaral and can describe them.
Questions
I can ask and answer who?, what?, where? and Y/N-question.
Colors
I know colours and can describe the colour of things.

I can form simple sentences and use the connectors and, or, but.
